These CLOE-certified English trainings focus on international beers and are aimed at amateurs or professionals, wishing to acquire a solid foundation in communicating about tasting and in knowledge of beers from around the world. You will be prepared to work and communicate in the beer industry with international partners. This program is also aimed at people who wish to undertake an international professional transition to the beer industry.
In Paris, we keep our classes small – no more than 10 students – to foster dynamic exchanges between learners and the instructor. Our wines are thoughtfully curated to expose students to a wide variety of styles, enabling them to build a precise and nuanced wine vocabulary.

The structure of the course
The introductory and intermediate levels in beer include 39 hours of study, including 24 hours of classroom lessons, taught by certified trainers. Your teaching materials will be given to you when you register, to allow you to prepare for your session. You will find the essential points covered during the training, as well as tasting grids and self-assessment exercises. Personal preparation work is estimated at 15 hours. Your CLOE test in English specialising in wines and spirits takes place online and must be taken within two months of the end of your training.
Assessments and certificates
CLOE test: Taking the CLOE Certification is mandatory at the end of the training. It lasts a total of one hour online. By registering, you agree to complete both parts of the assessment: First part (online with asynchronous monitoring): You will answer an adaptive questionnaire of 50 questions aimed at measuring your ability to: Identify and use common or professional vocabulary adapted to the context, Master the main grammatical structures necessary to construct coherent sentences of varying complexity, Identify and use expressions from everyday or professional life, Understand a short text and extract its overall meaning and specific details. Understand a statement, instructions or questions from a speaker speaking the target language. Second part (oral interview by videoconference): By appointment, this assessment includes a dialogue, one or more professional scenarios, and a discussion around a professional theme or specific to your field of activity. This interview measures your ability to: Use current or professional vocabulary adapted to the communication situation, Master the main grammatical structures necessary to construct coherent sentences of varying complexity, Communicate naturally orally, Make yourself understood with clear pronunciation, Develop interaction and dialogue. Obtaining the certificate: To obtain the certificate, level A2 is required, but a higher objective can be set depending on your professional project.
Access conditions and prerequisites
You must be 18 years old on the day of training and to be fluent in French. Registrations close 10 working days before the start date of the session or as soon as the maximum capacity of the session is reached. It is important to allocate 12 hours of personal work before starting the training. Each session accommodates a maximum of 14 participants. A B2-C2 level in English is recommended to follow our English training courses. All our training courses are open to people with disabilities.
