The structure of the course
The WSET Level 1 and 2 beer training includes 36 hours of study, including 24 hours of classroom lessons, taught by certified trainers. Your educational materials for level 2 will be given to you when you register, to allow you to prepare for your WSET level 2 session and exam. You will find the essential points covered during the training, as well as tasting grids and self-assessment exercises. Personal preparation work is estimated at 12 hours.
Assessment
For level 1 : You will have to answer 30 multiple choice questions in 45 minutes. To get your WSET 1 certificate, you will have to answer 70% of the questions correctly. The success rate for the exam by Weeno in 2024 is 100%. In the event that you fail the exam, it is possible to take it again. The cost of registration for a re-sit is 100 euros. For level 2 : You will need to answer 50 multiple choice questions in an hour. To get your WSET 2 certificate, you will have to answer 55% of the questions correctly. The success rate for the exam by Weeno in 2024 is 100% (97% received their certification with Merit or Distinction). In the event that you fail the exam, it is possible to take it again. The cost of registration for a re-sit is 140 euros.
Pre-requisite and accessibility
This training does not require prior knowledge of wine. You must be 18 years old to register. Excellent comprehension and writing in the selected language are also encouraged to follow the course.
