During your full day WSET level 1 Award in Wine in English, you will discover the main types and styles of wine, while developing the elementary skills necessary to describe with precision a wine. You will also get a full introduction to food & wine pairing.

The WSET level Award 1 in wine is designed for novices who are new to wine.
Our WSET 1 training day offers a first practical approach to the world of wine for amateurs as well as for people wishing to find a first job in the wine field.
TASTING
You taste 18 wines from the greatest wine regions in the world. We carefully select our wines, most of which are made organically or biodynamically.
FUNDING WITH MY FRENCH CPF ACCOUNT (CPF)
This training can be financed by your CPF as part of the CLOE certification (with an additional fee for the CLOE training platform and CLOE certification). You will develop your vocabulary and your fluency in English.

Who is this training for ?
This course is the perfect entry point to the world of wine. Ideal for the beginner wine enthusiast, or those starting a career in wine or hospitality.
The structure of the course
The WSET 1 wine training includes 6 hours of classroom lessons, taught by certified trainers. A booklet will be given to you the same day, in which you will find the essential points covered during the training, as well as tasting grids and self-assessment exercises. You will take you WSET exam at the end of the session.

• The main types and styles of wine • Common wine grapes and their characteristics • How to make food and wine pairings • Tasting of six wines with educator feedback (students to provide their own samples or look for our tasting kit) • How to store and serve wine • How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
Assessment
At the end of your session, you will be assessed on the knowledge acquired during a closed book test. You will have to answer 30 multiple choice questions in 45 minutes. To get your WSET 1 certificate in wine, you will have to answer 70% of the questions correctly. The success rate for the exam by Weeno in 2023 is 100%. In the event that you fail the exam, it is possible to take it again. The cost of registration for a re-sit is 80 euros.
Pre-requisite and accessibility
This training does not require prior knowledge of wine. You must be 18 years old to register. Excellent comprehension and writing in the selected language are also encouraged to follow the course.
