WSET 2 Beer in English in Marseille – LTE Certification

The WSET level 2 training in beers with LTE certification is designed for beginners, amateurs or professionals, wishing to acquire a solid foundation in zythology and knowledge of beers from the world. You will be prepared to work in the beer sector. This program is also aimed at people who wish to undertake a professional transition to the beer sector.

During this course you will: - Acquire in-depth and precise knowledge of major international beer styles, as well as the world’s key brewing regions. - Learn how to present, describe, and sell a beer to English-speaking clients. - Master the essential English vocabulary used by beer professionals and zythologists, including ingredients, brewing methods, tasting and sales. - Gain confidence in speaking and writing to clients in English. - Learn how to explain labelling terms related to beers. - Describe a beer in English using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting. - The course is delivered 100% in English and is suitable for learners with a B2 to C2 level. This training is designed to develop your oral and written language skills, including: - Identifying and using vocabulary appropriate to professional contexts in the beer industry - Using key grammatical structures to build coherent sentences of varying complexity - Understanding short texts and identifying both general meaning and specific details - Understanding spoken statements, instructions, or questions from an interlocutor - Communicating in social-professional, professional, or industry-specific situations using appropriate expressions - Holding a conversation on a professional topic - Communicating naturally and enhancing oral interaction - Being understood through clear pronunciation

The WSET Level 2 Beer training with LTE includes 18 hours of classroom lessons, taught by certified trainers, and 20 hours of personal study. The course takes place over a 3-day session, and concludes with your WSET exam. Your WSET teaching materials will be provided upon registration to help you prepare in advance. They include key learning points covered in the course, tasting grids, and self-assessment exercises. We recommend a minimum of 12 hours of personal study to make the most of your training. You will also receive online access to the official WSET platform before your in-person course — the perfect way to boost your chances of passing the exam. Your LTE English test is taken online and must be completed within two months of the end of your training.

Completion of all three components of the LTE 4 Skills certification is mandatory within 30 days following the end of the training. By registering, you commit to completing all four parts of the assessment: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing (2.5-hour test).

You must be 18 years old on the day of the wine training. Registrations close 10 working days before the start date of the session or as soon as the maximum capacity of the session is reached. It is important to allocate 12 hours of personal work before starting the training. Each session accommodates a maximum of 14 participants.
