Taking the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines means gaining advanced expertise that is internationally recognised.

Who is this training for ?
This advanced wine course is ideal for professionals working in the wine industry as well as serious wine enthusiasts.
The structure of the course
Your training : 9 weeks of training online. Your exam : your exam can be only be taken in person (Paris or Marseille). For each session will we offer a 6 months planning for exam dates so you can choose which one fits best depending on your progress and personal studies. Registrations will close 10 working days before the start of a session.
What’s covered ?
Unit 1 • The key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling • The key characteristics of the principal: - still wines of the world - sparkling wines of the world - fortified wines of the world Unit 2 • How to taste wines and evaluate quality, identity and price, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
Assessment
For Unit 1, you will need to answer 50 multiple choice questions and four short-answer questions in 2 hours. For Unit 2, you will perform a blind tasting of two wines and be asked to describe the wines and analyse their quality in 30 minutes. To graduate, you must answer 55% of the questions correctly in each unit. You will receive your result by email about 8 weeks after your exam date. Your certificate and pin will then be mailed to you. You can retake one or both of the units if you did not pass for a fee of 170 euros for each unit. Our students have a pass rate of 90% for the theory unit and 96% for the tasting unit for Level 3.
Pre-requisite and accessibility
You must be 18 years old to register. Having obtained the WSET 2 Award in Wines or being able to prove an equivalent level of knowledge is strongly suggested in order to succeed in this training. Excellent comprehension and writing in the selected language are also encouraged to follow the training. Our trainings are accessible to disabled persons.
