Professional English – Advanced Practice in International Wine-related Communication – Online

The expert level in wine with CLOE certification is designed for professionals who already work in the world of wine, but also for serious amateurs who wish to deepen their wine and wine knowledge and their mastery of specific vocabulary in English. This program is also aimed at people who wish to undertake a professional transition to the wine sector.

Acquire advanced English language skills applied to the wine industry Learn to accurately express the specific characteristics of major wine regions worldwide Be able to explain, both orally and in writing, the cause-and-effect relationships that influence wine styles Gain the essential English vocabulary for wine professionals: viticulture, winemaking, tasting, and sales Learn how to present, describe, and sell a wine to English-speaking clients Build confidence in addressing clients in English, both orally and in writing Learn how to write about wine in English Describe a wine in English Full English immersive format Suitable for participants with an advanced level of English (B2–C2) The training is designed to develop your oral and written language skills, specifically to: Identify and use context-appropriate vocabulary Apply the main grammatical structures needed to build coherent sentences of varying complexity Understand a short text and extract both its overall meaning and specific details Understand statements, instructions, and questions from an interlocutor Communicate effectively in socio-professional, professional, or industry-specific situations using appropriate expressions Engage in discussions on professional topics Communicate naturally and develop oral interaction Make yourself understood with clear pronunciation

Your training : 9 weeks of training online. Your CLOE test must be taken within 2 months after the end of your online training. Registrations will close 10 working days before the start of a session.

CLOE test: Taking the CLOE Certification is mandatory at the end of the training. It lasts a total of one hour online. By registering, you agree to complete both parts of the assessment: First part (online with asynchronous monitoring): You will answer an adaptive questionnaire of 50 questions aimed at measuring your ability to: Identify and use common or professional vocabulary adapted to the context, Master the main grammatical structures necessary to construct coherent sentences of varying complexity, Identify and use expressions from everyday or professional life, Understand a short text and extract its overall meaning and specific details. Understand a statement, instructions or questions from a speaker speaking the target language. Second part (oral interview by videoconference): By appointment, this assessment includes a dialogue, one or more professional scenarios, and a discussion around a professional theme or specific to your field of activity. This interview measures your ability to: Use current or professional vocabulary adapted to the communication situation, Master the main grammatical structures necessary to construct coherent sentences of varying complexity, Communicate naturally orally, Make yourself understood with clear pronunciation, Develop interaction and dialogue. Obtaining the certificate: To obtain the certificate, level A2 is required, but a higher objective can be set depending on your professional project.

Having followed our intermediate level in wine or being able to prove an equivalent level of knowledge is strongly suggested in order to succeed in this training. You must be 18 years old on the day of training. Registrations close 10 working days before the start date of the session. A B2-C2 level in English is recommended to follow our English training courses. All our training courses are open to people with disabilities.
