TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE – WEENO DRINKS ACADEMY

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “Terms”) apply exclusively between the company Weeno, SAS with a share capital of €1,000, headquartered at 25 chemin des Accates, 13011 Marseille, France – Phone: +33 (0)7 68 94 12 49 – SIRET 829 347 251 00011, (hereinafter referred to as “Weeno”),
And any person purchasing one of Weeno’s products or services (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”).

ARTICLE 1 – GENERAL TERMS

Any order or booking made with Weeno (course, training, gift voucher, product or service) implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms by the Client.

The Client declares that they have the legal capacity to enter into a contract with Weeno.

Orders are processed within a maximum of 48 hours from the time of purchase (online, by phone, or upon receipt of cheque or bank transfer).
Any product deliveries are made via the standard services of La Poste.

ARTICLE 2 – PURPOSE

Weeno provides courses, trainings, services and products related to the discovery and knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and sakes, for amateurs and professionals alike. Weeno also offers specialized language training in these fields.

ARTICLE 3 – PRICING

All prices are listed in euros, including VAT, and may be modified at any time.
Unless otherwise specified, payment is required in full at the time of order.

ARTICLE 4 – GIFT VOUCHERS

Weeno offers gift vouchers for various types of training programs.

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • They are non-nominative: they can be purchased by one person (the “buyer”) and used by another (the “recipient”).
  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  • Training content may be updated or modified at any time.
  • The expiry date is stated on the voucher.

ARTICLE 5 – RESCHEDULING POLICY (WSET TRAININGS)

Cancellations

Cancellations are accepted up to 30 working days before the start of a course or exam.
A €25 administrative fee will be deducted, along with the cost of training materials: €90 for the WSET Level 2 courses, and €150 for the WSET Level 3 courses.

Transfers

Transfers to another session are also accepted up to 30 working days prior to the original course start date. A €25 administrative fee and any applicable material costs will apply.

All requests must be sent by email to: [email protected], indicating the original session (date, topic, city), and the new session requested

After this deadline, no changes will be possible, and the transfer will be considered final and non-transferable.

ARTICLE 6 – COURSE PARTICIPATION

Weeno holds courses and exams in various cities and venues.

Weeno reserves the right to change the course venue, while informing participants in advance. Such changes do not affect the validity of the agreement between Weeno and the Client.

For health and safety reasons, access is strictly limited to adult participants. Children and pets are not permitted on the premises.

A smart casual dress code is appreciated to maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

ARTICLE 7 – REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

All purchases are considered final and binding.

In accordance with French consumer law (article L221-18 of the Consumer Code), a 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the purchase of gift vouchers made at a distance (online, by phone, or by post).
Return and delivery fees remain the responsibility of the Client.

Please note: Training sessions with fixed dates are not eligible for withdrawal (article L221-28 of the Consumer Code).

When applicable, refunds will be processed within 14 days from receipt of the request, by cheque or bank transfer made out to the Client who placed the order.

ARTICLE 8 – JURISDICTION

In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of these Terms, the courts of Marseille (France) shall have sole jurisdiction.

ARTICLE 9 – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (GDPR)

As part of its operations, Weeno collects and processes personal data concerning its Clients (name, email, contact details, billing info, etc.).

This data is used solely for the purposes of managing courses and exams, administration and billing, and sending information related to Weeno’s activities.

In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and French Data Protection Law (Loi Informatique et Libertés, January 6, 1978 as amended), Clients have the right to access, correct, delete, or oppose the use of their data.

Weeno does not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Data is stored only for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above.

ARTICLE 10 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All educational content, documents, course materials, visuals, videos, logos, text and trademarks provided during Weeno trainings are the exclusive property of Weeno or its partners.

Any reproduction, distribution, modification or use, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

Course enrolment entitles the participant to personal and non-transferable use of the provided materials.

ARTICLE 11 – LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE

Weeno commits to using all reasonable means to ensure the successful delivery of its services. However, Weeno shall not be held liable in the following cases:

  • Failure to follow trainer instructions,
  • Damage resulting from misuse of materials,
  • Delays or non-performance due to force majeure (as defined by article 1218 of the French Civil Code): including strike, natural disaster, epidemic, transport disruption, accidents, or any unforeseeable event beyond Weeno’s reasonable control.

If a service cannot be delivered due to one of the above causes, Weeno will offer, where possible, a rescheduling or credit.
No additional compensation will be granted.

ARTICLE 12 – LANGUAGE & PRECEDENCE

In case of any discrepancy between the English and French versions of these Terms, the French version shall prevail.
